My research interests lie in the domain of human social evolution. I am studying the hunter-gatherer groups of Northern Congo-Brazzaville to investigate how their social networks change in response to seasonal variation and proximity to farmers. I’m interested in the structure of social interaction, cultural transmission and cooperation networks. I am concentrating on ethnobotanical knowledge and food taboos to answer questions on cultural transmission, and using economic game experiments to investigate cooperation networks.
