I am working in the Philippines with Agta hunter-gatherers, and am interested in cooperation and social dynamics in forager populations. Specifically, my research focusses on the evolution, ontogeny, and maintenance of egalitarian social structures by looking at residence patterns, cooperation networks, how egalitarian norms develop in children, and the significance of reverse dominance hierarchies.
